The Luge. Gravity. The force of gravity pulls the slider and the sled down the track, and lets them get more speed and they go farther down the track . But if it was a double luge going down you would have more gravity pullin you down. Average Speed.

  2. Gravity The force of gravity pulls the slider and the sled down the track, and lets them get more speed and they go farther down the track. But if it was a double luge going down you would have more gravity pullin you down.

  3. Average Speed On a high banked track the average speed is right around 80 to 85.The fastest speed at the olyimpics this year was 94 MPH.

  4. CentrifugalForce This type of force is one of the 3 g’s. A type of dimension that is acted against the slider.

  5. form drag The interaction between the air and the frontal shape of the slider/sled.

  6. aerodynamic drag Aerodynamic drag consists of air friction and form drag. In luge, when air runs over the top of the rider, it interacts with the materials of the helmet and racing suit.

  7. g-force Is an equal to the force exerted by gravity. It’s the action on the body that is accelerating.
