Reform of education in process ICT to be fully part of the definition of core competences and knowledge • ICT skills assesment part of final examinations : • Final lower secondary examination (B2I level 2 in brevet des collèges) • Final upper secondary examination (B2I level 3 in baccalauréat) • The IT certificate C2i at bachelor level mandatory to enter the teacher training institute. • The ICT coordinator member of School board • Spread use of VLE’s (including parents links) SDTICE/International Unit MGLF Prag 2005

  10. Schene : Action plan for publishing digital teaching materials Give teachers a large and coherent set of resources Bottom up approach to define the needs (incl. Learning Objects).   11. Digital knowledge portal (ENS) Online resources Pilot 2003-2004 in 1,500 schools and institutions What next ? Two economic interest groupings have been set up (GIE), the digital knowledge channel Canal Numérique des Savoirs (CNS) and the educational digital Kiosk Kiosque Numérique pour l’Éducation (KNE). Each of them (on the whole 45 private and public publishers) offers a sale catalog In 2004-2005, the ministry has voted a budgetary allocation for a panel of 600 schools that experimented ENS in 2003. UNT (2) • This reorganization will take the following two criteria into account: • A professional, quality-oriented approach to putting training services online. • Promoting such services internationally (principally in Europe and French-speaking countries), with emphasis placed on masters-level programs offered in conjunction with internationally-respected research organizations.  • Ten major thematic universities with an international scope should be in place by 2007. Support regional digital university (UNR) • Starting from 68 previous digital campuses • Pooling, at a regional level and with regional councils : infrastructures, services, and VLE’s for teachers and students • Call for proposal in 2003 with two objectives : • The development of on-line educational and university services • The commitment by all schools to facilitate internet access broadband, connectivity • Today more than 10 UNR SDTICE/International Unit MGLF Prag 2005
