  4. What are the possibilities? 11th Grade CollegeAuditions • Performance Audition • Technical Audition 12th Grade ScholarshipAuditions • Performance • Technical Theatre • Theatre Education • Theatre for Life

  5. 12th Grade Scholarship Auditions: Performance • Each Performance applicant MUSTcomplete an Audition Application on accept’d • Each Performance applicant MUSTsubmit a Resume • Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under College/Scholarship Auditions • The word RESUME MUSTbe in the title of the uploaded Resume • All students will perform a live Audition at conference. • Audition MUST include: • 2 Contrasting Monologues OR 1 Monologue and a Cutting of a Song • You may upload additional material on your accept’d profile for colleges to see. This material may include, but is not limited to: • Dance Performance • Evidence of Performances you have been in • Theatre Participation Evidence • Even though you are applying for performance College Auditions, you may provide Evidence of work in various or a single Technical fields • You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view. • Some students will be invited to callbacks with colleges during conference.

  6. 11th Grade College Auditions:Performance • Each Performance applicant MUSTcomplete an Audition Application on accept’d • Each Performance applicant MUSTsubmit a Resume • Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under College/Scholarship Auditions • The word RESUME MUSTbe in the title of the uploaded Resume Performance applicants shouldsubmit a Video Audition • Audition Video must include: • Name of Auditioner • School Name • Troupe Number • Name of Each Piece and Author • The word AUDITION MUST be in the title of the Uploaded file. • Audition may not exceed THREE minutes • Audition MUST include: • 2 Contrasting Monologues OR 1 Monologue and a Cutting of a Song • Other Uploaded material may include, but not limited to • Dance Performance • Evidence of Performances you have been in • Theatre Participation Evidence • Even though you are applying for performance College Auditions, you may provide Evidence of work in various or a single Technical fields • You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view. • Some students will be invited to callbacks with colleges during conference.

  7. 12th Grade Scholarship Auditions:Technical Theatre • Each applicant MUSTcomplete an Audition Application on accept’d • Each applicant MUSTsubmit a Resume • Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under College/Scholarship Auditions • The word RESUME MUSTbe in the title of the uploaded Resume • Audition Information must include: • Name of Auditioner • School Name • Troupe Number • Upload a Portfolio to Accept’d. Portfolios may include: • Evidence of work in various or a single Technical field • Name and Playwright of each play/musical/one-act for which they have designed • Pictures of actualized designs • Documentation of the design process • Drawings, Draftings, Notes, Charts Analysis, etc. • Explanation of design choices • Even though you are applying for performance College Auditions, you may provide • Evidence of work in Acting, Musical or Dance • You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view. • All students will participate in a live display and interview while at conference. • Prepare materials for display on or nearby a table in the technical interviews. The materials should fit on a 8 foot by 3 foot rectangle table. You may also use up to 3 feet around your table area for freestanding items like dress forms and mannequins. • Some students will be invited to callbacks with colleges during conference.

  8. 11th Grade College Auditions:Technical Theatre • Each applicant MUSTcomplete an Audition Application on accept’d • Each applicant MUSTsubmit a Resume • Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under College/Scholarship Auditions • The word RESUME MUSTbe in the title of the uploaded Resume • Audition Information must include: • Name of Auditioner • School Name • Troupe Number • Upload a Portfolio to Accept’d.   9. 12TH GRADE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS:THEATRE EDUCATION • Each applicant MUSTcomplete an Audition Application along with the Essayon Accept’d • (400 characters or less---about why you are wanting to go into Educational Theatre) • Each applicant MUSTsubmit a Resume • Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under 12th Grade College Auditions • Complete it and upload it to Accept’d • The word RESUME MUST be in the title of the uploaded Resume • Audition Information must include: • Name of Auditioner • School Name • Troupe Number • Portfolios may include, but not limited to • Lesson Plans over a variety of Theatre subsections • Acting • Technical Theatre • Storytelling • Voice • Movement • Etc. • Portfolios (or may) include a video of you teaching a lesson you created • You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view. • Each Applicant will be asked to present a live display and interview at the MO State Thespians Conference • Prepare materials to be viewed during the interviews. The materials should be in a 3-ring binder (or be a small display). • Some students will be invited to callbacks with colleges during conference.

  10. 12th Grade Scholarship Auditions:Theatre For Life • Each applicant MUSTcomplete an Audition Application on accept’d • Each applicant MUSTsubmit a Resume • Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under 12th Grade Scholarship Auditions • Complete it and upload it to Accept’d • The word RESUME MUST be in the title of the uploaded Resume • Audition Information must include: • Name of Auditioner • School Name • Troupe Number • Portfolios may include but are not limited to: • Evidence that cites specific examples of work and other materials that would demonstrate the breadth and depth of the applicant’s participation in the life of the local troupe or other theatre activities in the community. • Photographs • News Articles • Letter of Support • You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view. • Selected Finalists will be asked to present a live display and interview at conference.
