Using the SHP handout study the text and sources and answer the following: • Questions 3-7 p.7 • Questions 1+2 p.9 • Answer the question ‘How large was the gap between rich and poor in Russia at the beginning of the twentieth century?’ • Ext. In groups, you are going to prepare part of a report for the Tsar informing him of the situation in Russia and the problems he faces: • Inefficient and corrupt government • The condition of the peasants • The contrast between rich and poor in Russia • Conditions for the workers in the towns • The activities of opposition groups For your part of the report you need to explain to the Tsar the problems he faces in this area and why Be ready to present back at the start of next lesson Due: 11/09 Homework
