  4. Other terms can sometimes indicate Gluten • “Modified” • “Flavor” or “Flavoring” • “Malt” or “Maltodextrin” • “Carmel Color” • “MSG” or “Monosodium Glutamate”

  5. Bread Crackers Beer Cakes and Pies Croutons Gravies Pasta Soup Salad Dressings Cereals Cookies Sauces (including Soy Sauce) Imitation meats or seafood Common sources for Gluten

  6. Why avoid Gluten? • There are no typical signs and symptoms of celiac disease. Most people with the disease have general complaints, such as: Intermittent diarrhea Abdominal pain Bloating • Sometimes people with celiac disease may have no gastrointestinal symptoms at all. Celiac disease symptoms can also mimic those of other conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastric ulcers, Crohn's disease, parasite infections and anemia.

  8. The Solution to Gluten • Always READ product labels • AVOID things with gluten • “Gluten Free” doesn’t always mean gluten free • Be cautious of creating problems with Omega-6’s and carbohydrate toxicity

  11. Omega-6 (Plant Oil) • Foods that cannot easily be balanced with TSFO (Triple Strength Fish Oil) • Vegetable, Nut, and Seed Oils • Chicken, Turkey, and Farm-Raised Fish • Nuts, Seeds • Chips • Flax, Soy • Hummus • Avocado

  12. Why avoid Omega-6? • Inflammation • Cancers • Mental Health • Stress Disorders • Pain Disorders • Neurological Disorders • Elevated monocyte count

  15. Carbohydrates • Simple Sugars • Sugar, Molasses, Honey • Refined Starches • Pasta, Rice, Cereal, Potatoes **NO Artificial Sweeteners or Stevia**

  16. Why are Carbohydrates Problematic? • Lipid Disorders • Weight Issues • Diabetic and/or Metabolic Disorders • Cancer Response • Neurological and Nervous System Response • Glucose and Hemoglobin A1C Disorders

  17. Solution for Carbohydrates • Make any simple carbohydrate more complex by adding a fat, fiber, and/or protein • Balance blood sugar and reduce triglycerides with use of cinnamon • Reduce effect on good cholesterol (HDL) with B-vitamin
