  3. Current Goals • To build collaborative relationships with investigators throughout the HSC (and UofL in general) to conduct innovative studies and engage in thorough, sophisticated analysis with groundbreaking results • Will settle for fundable and publishable Guy Brock, StCC

  6. Study Design & Development • Design studies, protocol development • Frame research questions • Develop data collection instruments • Compute sample sizes and conduct power analyses • Write statistical analysis plans Guy Brock, StCC

Analysis & Modeling • Descriptive statistics and simple hypothesis testing • Categorical data analysis • Linear, generalized linear, and mixed effects models • Survival analysis • Multivariate and longitudinal data • Exploratory data analysis (clustering techniques, tree-based model fitting) • Bioinformatics, statistical genetics Guy Brock, StCC

  9. How we support ourselves • GRANTS!! • Grant development free of charge, provided adequate % effort on grant • Fee for service (less attractive) • hourly basis • Initial consultation is free • Walk-in clinic from 10-12 every Friday is free of charge Guy Brock, StCC
