Selection and Evaluation Process of Relevant Articles for Respiratory Syncytial Virus Research

This flowchart outlines the comprehensive process for selecting and evaluating relevant articles concerning respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Initially, 21 reviews were assessed, with 14 excluded for reasons including differing objectives and language barriers. From 38 articles reviewed, an additional 54 were retrieved, with 47 excluded, leading to 18 articles deemed relevant. Criteria for exclusion included lack of virological confirmation for RSV, absence of new information, and absence of subgroup analysis for RSV-positive cases. This systematic approach ensures the quality and relevance of selected literature.
