  2. Supporting Sentences • Every paragraph has sentences that relate to and explain the main idea in the topic sentence. These sentences are called supporting sentences. • You can support your topic sentence by adding details such as: - facts - examples - definitions - description - explanation

  3. SupportingSentences Topic Sentence Canada is a popular destination for many people all over the world. First, Canada has an excellent health care system. All Canadians have access to medical services at a reasonable price. Second, Canada has a high standard of education. Students are taught by well-trained teachers. Finally, Canada's cities are clean and efficiently managed. Canadian cities have many parks and lots of space for people to live.

  4. SupportingSentences An interview is an opportunity for employers to get to know you better, so it is important that you answer each question as completely as possible. First, you should ask your interviewers to repeat questions if you don’t understand them. Second, take some time to think about the questions before you answer. Third, a notebook to write down key words in interview questions is sometimes helpful.
