  2. What are Bio-fuels? Some of your everyday waste contains biomass, that can be burned to generate electricity. These are called bio-fuels.

  3. Types of Bio-fuels There are various types of Bio-fuels such as: Dead trees Tree branches Yard clippings Left-over crops Wood chips Bark and sawdust Manure

  4. The Cycle Biomass is collected by trucks. The trucks take the biomass to a power plant. This is then fed into a furnace where it is burned. The heat is used to boil water in the boiler, and the energy in the steam is used to turn turbines and generators.

  5. Are Bio-fuels the solution for the future? Bio-fuels have some good and bad things about them. They are great because they are a renewable source of energy, but when they are burnt they produce a poisonous gas called methane. ?

  6. Take it or leave it… Are bio-fuels the way forward? Will they affect global warming? or, Should we use another source of energy? It’s up to you to decide if bio-fuels are for you… ?
