Preparatory Action MEDIA International 2008 Consortia must be made up of: • Minimum of two independent legal entities: - the coordinator, who must be a legal person registered in one of the 27 EU Member States; - at least one organisation/company, who must be a legal entity registered in any third country other than Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Croatia. Other beneficiaries could be any legal entity from the 27 EU Member States or from any third country • Exception for extensions of existing MEDIA trainings

Preparatory Action MEDIA International 2008 Commission contribution • Up to 50% of the direct eligible costs if the project coordinator is from the one of the following Member States: Germany, Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom • Up to 75% of the direct eligible costs if the project coordinator is from one of the 22 other Member States • Up to 80 % of the direct eligible costs if the training (even partially) takes place in any third country

Preparatory Action MEDIA International Distribution/Promotion of cinema works • Encourage artistic and industrial cooperation networks between distributors/sales agents • Conclusion of agreements between distributors/sales agents to ensure the first release of their films on the partners’ territory • Reinforcement of P&A campaigns for first releases

  22. Preparatory Action MEDIA International Continuation for 2 more years • If European Parliament votes budgets for 2009 and 2010 • 5M€ proposed by CULT for 2009
