Hezekiah • 2 Kings 18 (p.298) • Hezekiah did amazing things for the Lord. • Strength to make a difference comes from character. • In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow the law and the commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.2 Chronicles 31:21

  3. A New Power: Assyria • 2 Kings 18:13-14a, 31-36 • 2 Kings 19:1, 5-7 • Hezekiah chose to trust the Lord over a human solution. • Hezekiah learned that if he was humble, God would protect.

  4. Isaiah • Isaiah 1:1-2 (p.517) • Isaiah served the Lord faithfully for his whole life. • 9:1-7; 40:1-3; 53:5-6 • Isaiah 6:1-9 • Isaiah had a humble and honest view of himself. • Isaiah saw his forgiveness as a gift and calling.

  5. Fallen House • 2 Kings 20:1-6, 12-21 • Hezekiah trusted the miracle more than the Maker. • Hezekiah did not pass on a legacy of faith to the next generation.

  6. Finish Well • Know your needs. • Lead to serve. • Process pain with prayer. • Christ first.
