  1. Kishan Drones In an initiative to make drones more accessible to farmers, the Prime Minister of India announced the ‘Drone Kisan Yatra’ to promote chemical-free farming. This was discussed in the Budget for the year 2022. Kisan drones are unmanned tanks filled with insecticides & nutrients with the capability to carry a weight of 5 - 10 kgs. These remote drones are used to spray pesticides uniformly and save both time & effort. Kisan drones can also be used to carry farmers' produce from farms to the market, ensuring a more direct supply with minimal damage. Encouragement from the government to develop agri drones within the country and reduction in the cost of drones coupled with easy accessibility has led to an increase in the number of UAV manufacturers in the country.
