32. Maya Gebeily’s College Search Tips 1. RELAX! Don't overanalyze colleges, and don't feel like you need to know every detail about a college before you apply. Sometimes a gut feeling is enough! Although I do encourage you to do research on colleges that interest you, you don't need to go as far as knowing what food they serve on Fridays in the dining hall :) Clarksburg Class of 2009

Some students think that a poor – or a great - score on the SAT determines their college career and therefore their path in life. This is absolutely not true. On your application, stress your passion(s), not your scores! 3. Make use of your resources CollegeBoard.com is obviously a wonderful tool, but make sure not to forget the terrific counselors that are available. This is something I wish I had taken more advantage of when I was applying! Clarksburg Class of 2009
