  2. 20 years ago 20 years from now Berkeley County Key to this transition is sustainable water.

  3. Berkeley County’s population grew by 14,462 residents from 2004-2007. The County’s density rose from 265 persons/sq mi to 310 persons/sq mi. Berkeley County’s population is projected to grow another 30,000 persons by 2025. This will create a population density of 1 person for every 1½ acre, or 405 persons/sq mi.

  4. Designated Growth Area in Comprehensive Plan based on current and future public water infrastructure (shown in yellow).

  5. USGS Water Study performed in 2005-06 measuring base-flow yields of water- sheds in Berkeley County.

  6. Superpostion of high growth over water availability. Areas outside of public water are a concern.
