  2. MODAL VERBS FOR ADVICES AND SUGGESTIONS You might consider taking up meditation. You could talk to your parents and ask them. Would you like to have a coffee with me? You should eat healthy food. Modal verbs are a part of the larger category called auxiliary verbs which are verbs that cannot be used on their own. They need to be accompanied by another (main) verb. Sometimes modal verbs are called modal auxiliaries.

  3. SHOULD This modal verb is used to say that is the right thing to do or the correct thing. Should is a modal verb Its base form is SHOULD + VERB (Base form of infinitive) SHOULD NOT + VERB (Base form of infinitive) Example: We should should celebrate new year with our friends and family!

  4. Might Might often implies a smaller chance of something happening (when expressing possibility). Might is a modal verb Its base form is MIGHT + VERB (Base form of infinitive) MIGHT NOT + VERB (Base form of infinitive) Example: He might might want to leave early

  5. Could Could is used a suggestion when asked what to do (choices and opportunities). Could is a modal verb Its base form is COULD+ VERB (Base form of infinitive) COULD NOT + VERB (Base form of infinitive) Example: We could could dress like mummies for Halloween

  6. Would Would is used for polite invitations or to offer something and describe predictions. Would is a modal verb Its base form is WOULD+ VERB (Base form of infinitive) WOULD NOT + VERB (Base form of infinitive) Example: It would would be nice to have a barbecue on Christmas.
