  1. jabberwocky

  2. Twas dinnertime, and the slimy lithe Did round and round in the hillside: All scrawny were the birds, And ugly green pigs outburst.

  3. Beware the Catzilla, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Dodo bird, and ignore The petrifying Bandersnatch!”

  4. He took his faithful sword in hand: Long time the evil foe he sought— So rested he by the willow tree,

  5. And stood awhile in thought. And, as in deep thought he stood, The Jabberwocky, with eyes of flame, came flying through the dark wood, And growled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The faithful blade went clink-clank!

  6. He left it dead, and with his head He went stumbling back. “And, has thou slain the Catzilla? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! Oh wonderful day! Whoop! Whoop! He yelled in his joy.

  7. ‘Twas billing, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
