  1. WELCOME TO THE MEETING FOR THE PARIS/EURODISNEY TRIP FROM MONDAY 29TH JUNE TO SUNDAY 5TH JULY

  2. This trip is organised through: Travelstar Company, Based in Birmingham.

  4. DEPARTURE • Monday 29th June • Meet outside the Windmill Hall at 23.45 • Loading coach at 23.50 • Departure 00.01 hrs at the latest • Immediate family only please!

  5. LUGGAGE • One medium size case each • Bring backpack or easily carried bag to use during the outings and on the coach • Make sure you have a SAFE way of carrying your purse and valuables.

  6. TRAVEL • A coach is provided for our use throughout the stay • Channel crossing via P & O ferries over Dover. • Depart Dover at 02.20 hrs(1h 15 mins) • Arrive at Calais at 04.35 (local time) • Arrival at hotel Tuesday 30st June at 09.15

  7. RETURN – Sunday 5th June • Leaving the Eurodisney hotel at 08.45 • Estimated time of arrival (outside Windmill Hall) at 16.00 hrs • Please collect your daughter promptly – we ALL need to get home for a good rest • Girls are expected to ATTEND SCHOOL on Monday 6th June

  8. HOTELS We are staying in Paris at: HOTEL IBIS CHATEAU LANDON 197 RUE LA FAYETTE TEL. 0033 44657000 and in Eurodisney at: DAVY CROCKETT RANCH MARNE LA VALLEE TEL. 0033 160456900

  9. Rooms are for 3 or 4 pupils and all have ensuite bathrooms

  10. Wednesday 1st July 2009 • Breakfast in hotel

  11. Thursday 2nd July

  12. Friday 3rd July • Breakfast in hotel and departure to Disneyland resort Paris

  13. Friday 3rd and 4th July • At the hotel you receive a pack containing passes for Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Parkfor two days.

  14. Sunday 5th July • Breakfast in the hotel • Following breakfast please check out of your rooms and load your bags on to the coach ready for your journey home • Depart Davy Crockett 08:45 • Depart Calais Docks 13:45 • Arrive Sacred Heart (approx) 16:00

  15. SAFETY & SECURITY • On the coach – seat bells on at all times. Be considerate of the drivers, don’t make unnecessary noise and keep the coach clean. • At hotel – keep rooms TIDY. Be considerate of other guests. • Personal – follow the same personal safety rules as you would in England. DO NOT GIVE TELEPHONE NUMBERS or the name of our hotel to anyone you meet. • Possessions –Don’t bring expensive jewellery or other valuable items – YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!

  16. MONEY • What’s included – FULL BOARD • How much to bring? Up to you – allow enough for extra drinks and ice-creams. • Need to bring money to buy food for return journey. • Get your Euros in advance - no commission at Post Office. Ferry won’t give a great rate and will use up your time. • LOOK AFTER IT!! Ideally have it in waistband – not in obvious purse in those little handbags you have • €50 for hotel damage ( by Monday 22nd June )

  17. INSURANCE / PASSPORT • School insurance, as for all trips • European Health Card for EU medical insurance • Do not forget your passport!!!

  18. BEHAVIOUR • High standards are expected as usual • At hotel and during all visits/outings • Strictly no smoking, alcohol, drugs • Usual school sanctions will apply • Meanwhile any miscreant will stay with a member of staff • Parents and Mrs Williams will be informed immediately • But it won’t happen, will it?

Reply slips must be returned signed by parents to Mrs Esposito • Home and emergency telephone numbers and medical information (allergies/ current medication, etc)to be handed to Mrs Esposito a.s.a.p (Please state if vegetarian) • Immediate family only at school drop-off/ pick up • Give your passport and health card to your group leaders before you board the coach. • Keep drivers happy and treat coach with respect ( no chewing gum, mess, screaming allowed on board) • Money (Euros) – to be kept in waistband, not purse or handbag, no recommendation on amount to take. Be vigilant and check your change • Bring costume jewellery – not gold/ valuable items • Bring medium size suitcases – it is imperative!

Items to bring: mixture of clothes for all weathers – not just shorts! cardigan/ jumper for evening sensible shoes/ trainers going out clothes something suitable for church ( Notre Dame/ Sacre Coeur) towel for use by pool sun cream/ sunglasses / cap travel cushion camera i-pod / MP3 players basic first aid kit, including plasters/ travel sickness tablets CDs, DVDs (no higher than 12 rating)

  21. You are responsible for your own valuables • Take any worries or concerns about any aspect of the trip to your group leader. • Be prompt for all meetings and particularly coach departure times. • Timekeeping – listen to instructions, be punctual at all times and keep to bed times…OR ELSE! • Accommodation – Report any damage as soon as practical. Be considerate of other guests (no shouting, screaming, running, banging etc.) Keep rooms tidy (store suitcases away, do not leave towels on the floor, no food, etc.) Do not use towels to remove make-up or you’ll have to pay to replace them. • Do not give telephone numbers or name of hotel(s) to anyone you meet • We are ‘in loco parentis’ so no alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and inappropriate behaviour with boys – school rules apply. Mrs Williams and parents will be informed immediately. • Finally, make the most of this wonderful opportunity and have fun!

EMERGENCIES!! • I will have the schol mobile with me at all times, providing emergency contact for the girls or yourselves • School mobile: 0770 3308183 • If necessary you may also contact the School • I will have all your phone numbers • We also have emergency contact via the travel company SO DON’T WORRY!

  23. We will be travelling with TRAVELSTAR COACH COMPANY (The driver is Fish, well known to our school)

Year 9 Educational Visit to Paris / Eurodisney29th June – 5th July 2009All pupils MUST hand in their passport and health card to their group leaders before departure. 50 euros hotel damage deposit must be handed in to Mrs Esposito by Monday 22nd June at the latest.The groups are for register purposes only. Your group leader is who you must report to any time you need to check in during the trip.
