Strategic Plan • Teaching and Learning • Action Plan 1.1.4 Create a post-secondary plan for every secondary student at BAPS. • Assigned to Dr. Janet Dunlop • Strategies used to implement action plan include: • Form committee to develop plan • Research current models for student career advisement • Discussion and selection of model or develop own • Design implementation strategy and designate lead

Strategic Plan • Funding and Finance • Action Plan 3.1.1 Develop opportunities to increase funding at the local level through various initiatives. • Assigned to Dwayne Thompson • Strategies used to implement action plan include: • Implemented P Card • Medicaid reimbursement • Increased investment opportunities • Review investment strategies and instruments for all funds

Strategic Plan • Funding and Finance • Action Plan 3.2.1 Develop a three-tiered plan to educate all stakeholders regarding the district’s finances and budget. • Assigned to Dwayne Thompson • Strategies used to implement action plan include: • Financial summaries in Arrowpoint and overview in Annual Report • Display Annual Budget and CAFR on Web Site • Expand Budget Committee • Train and educate staff in basic level financial information • Include individual site budget reports on web page

Strategic Plan • Facilities • Action Plan 4.2.1 Develop a Long Range Planning Committee that prioritizes the needs of the district and assists with items for bond issues, boundary zones, and land acquisitions. • Assigned to Michelle Bergwall • Strategies used to implement action plan include: • Maintain and update membership list • Utilize the group for planning 2015 bond issue • Compile date as needed per group project • Host public presentations of group recommendations

Strategic Plan • Co-Curricular • Action Plan 5.1.1 Identify required blocks of time based on local, state, and federal requirements and logistical constraints. • Assigned to Amy Fichtner • Strategies used to implement action plan include: • Explore current time usage for grades PreK through 12. • Confirm OSDE requirements for instructional time. • Assemble a district-wide “TIME” committee to explore options. • Report quarterly on committee progress.

Strategic Plan • Co-Curricular • Action Plan 5.2.1 Create a wider range of co-curricular activities for Broken Arrow students in grades Pre-K through 12th that are more relevant and accessible. • Assigned to Chuck Perry • Strategies used to implement action plan include: • Improve Communication: The Hub, Twitter, Facebook, Rush Week, Club Activity Guide, etc… • Provide cultural, racial, ethnic, and social enrichment and awareness through the formation of affinity clubs. • Develop student-to-student mentoring program that provides transitional support to incoming high school students as well as mentoring to middle and elementary students. • New intramurals and activities that will include dodgeball tournaments, The Jungle, rock climbing, and paintball.
