Ozone • The Ozone (O3 was allotropic of oxygen) is an unstable gas composed of three atoms of oxygen • The Ozone (O3) is a natural gas that doesn't require or leave any chemical residue, it helps keep the production local keeping costs to a minimum • The Ozone is a strong oxidant agent, capable of reacting with substances organic, this being one of its features it can be readily used in the treatment of water and air. Its effect on bacteria, mold and disactivating viruses has been known for some time, but a widened research results that it can also be used in deoderization and sterilization • The Ozone proposes a new model of organization where hygiene and safety are not seen only as an expense but above all as competitive advantages so to become a positioned business in the area of green cleaning • The Ozone reduces the consumption of water and the cost of waste water disposal and emission of substances harmful to the environment (ISO14000; lEl/IAS) 2

  19. RESULTS WITH OZONE ON STRAWBERRIES During testing : 5 days One sample of strawberries was divided into 2 groups: one sample was stored in an environment of 20°C, the other sample was stored in an environment of 20°C and treated continuously with Ozone.

RESULTS WITH OZONE ON KIWI FRUIT Two halves of the same kiwi, both preserved at room temperature, the half kiwi sample on the right was treated continually with ozone, the half kiwi on the left was not treated with ozone, after 4 days, apart from the visible signs of drying out there is also the onset of mold.
