  5. Youth office • Established in 2008th - IOM SHAPE project. • Lokal youth strategy and action plan adopted in 2011th

  6. Cultural youth center OKC • Established in 2012th - project „Culture forever“ wich was implemented by NGO Osveženje, founded by SDC

  7. Until now... • we have found jobs for 40 young people • we organized more than 100 concerts • 38 workshops • 2 year of psihosocial support • permanent program of informal education • 20 sport event • health prevention • we have received a prestigious award at the national level, "young city„.

Definition Business Incubator is a legal entity created in order to support small business entities upon start-up, by providing them with production rooms, equipment, as well as organizational, legal, financial, advisory and informative services. Business Incubators are set up in order to manifest support in creating and developing small business entities”.

Incubators provide: • numerous benefits to owners of startup businesses. • Their office and manufacturing space is offered at below-market rates, • Their staff offer advice and much-needed expertise in developing business and marketing plans. Companies typically spend an average of two years in a business incubator, during which time they often share telephone, secretarial office, and production equipment expenses with other startup companies, in an effort to reduce everyone's overhead and operational costs.

  10. Established in 2012th – project ZIP center was founded by EU. • Value of the project was 369 393, oo EUR ( EU- 330 393,oo EUR and Pirot municipality- 39.000, oo )

  13. we developed services which are available to to tenants • Adequately equipped space • Access to technical equipment: internal and external computer networks, equipment for photocopying • Administrative services and intrenet • Use of conference rooms • Organized a joint presentation at trade fairs and exhibitions • Exemption from municipal taxes • Expert services personnel and their professional support • Finding business opportunities by order and for the needs of tenants and / or other business entities • Economic and consulting support for the development of start-up businesses • Direct access to business networks and associations • Reducing barriers in transition economies through the pooling know-how and the reduction of fixed costs.

We care about them • Six of our teenats are using mini grants from HELP organisation in amount of 2.000 eur – we helped them to aply. • We are trying to provide a better business environment for our tenants by connecting them with potentially clients. • We are trying to create a sense of community and team work between all of us

  16. Obstacles • Lack of knowledge about the concept (business incubator should be one of the activitiy in supporting of entrepreneurship/no profitable concept) • Status concept • legal uncertainty • Political instability • Bad selection of management • Financial sustainability

Solutions • We have developed the concept of a business incubator that is different from the other. • We have a different concept of rent, different periods of incubation, different financing concept, a different structure of the fixed costs of tenants and different concept of human resources. • This incubator considered as the first of three steps leading to our goal.

  18. Our objectives • contribute to the development of the region through the creation of new jobs and of favorable conditions for business • establish a business incubator of production activities • establish a business incubator of agricultural activities
