  2. What is the Cookie Diet? • Originated in 1975 by Dr. Sanford Siegal • Purpose to control hunger and reduce daily calorie intake • Dieters may eat up to 6 cookies/day • Replace breakfast and lunch • 90 kcal per cookie • Between 800-1200 kcals each day
