  3. 7th Grade writing night(Mark your calendar) Thursday, October 3,at 6:30 • In the Auditorium • Please join the 7th grade students and teachers for an evening of introduction to the 7th grade writing program and information about HOW TO HELP your student at home. • Students will bring the 2nd draft of their autobiographical event essay. • More than 90% of Lincoln students scored proficient or advanced on the 7th grade state writing test.

  7. Computer access: we have it! • There will be numerous assignments required to be completed on the computer this year. Essays, poems, and reports, just to name a few. • Computers and printers are available in the library, computer, lab, and in my classroom. • I recommend keeping a flash drive for your student in case he or she needs to bring an assignment to school to print.

  8. Who am I? project • Portfolio project • A compellation of writing completed primarily in Language Arts, but also in Social Studies, Science, and Math • Please see the back of the pink sheet for detailed information about each assignment • Exit interview: • “What is a Worthwhile Life?”
