  3. Who & what • All faculty and staff • All student employees • All group and shared accounts • All rooms and resources

  4. What is migrating • For faculty, staff, group accounts, shared accounts, rooms and resources • Email • Calendar • Contacts • To-do’s migrated • For student employees • Email

  5. Email addresses remain the same • Both ksu.edu and k-state.edu email addresses will continue to work. No need to update business cards, etc…

  6. Known idiosyncrasies • Exceptions to reoccurring meetings do not migrate. • New filters do not process old email. • If you accept or decline a meeting do not select “don’t send the response”

  7. Prepping • Print a few days of your Zimbra calendar • Download your briefcase data if you want to keep it • Note any filters you will want to recreate • Note any shares you may have (email folders and calendars) • Note any contact lists that you may have • Delete mobile device settings before migration

  8. Full Featured email clients • For Windows • Outlook 2010 • Outlook 2013 • Outlook Web App • For Mac • Outlook 2011 • Apple Mail, Contacts and Calendar • Outlook Web App

  9. Email client information • Desktop Client vs. Web App • 30 calendars vs. 5 calendars • More advanced permissions management in Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 • Clients are a sync process • Changes made in a client may not be reflected immediately on web or elsewhere

  10. First thing • Setting time zone • Configure mobile devices and Outlook, or Apple Mail & Apple Calendar • Re-share calendars and folders • Check email and calendar information • Share issues and findings on Yammer
