  2. http://ctspd.ca/ctwp/ This dedicated Career and Technology site has become the portal for CTS resources and information. The resources have been updated and include the capability of threaded discussions, along with the ability to upload and share resources in each of the Cluster/Courses.

  10. Ideas • Use of equipment • Safety • Demonstration • Steps/procedures • Set-up

  11. Creating a Tutorial 3 things needed: a. Recording device: tablet/smartphone, camera, online access. b. Adobe Premiere Elements (other video- editing software) c. Somewhere online to post the video! (note: depending on your recording device, you may need an online conversion program. I use keepvid.com )

  13. Best idea ever! Hall Davidson Have parents donate old Cell phones to your class/ School! No need for active SIM Card! Camera for free!

Video-Editing • Lots of editing programs – imovie (mac, iphone, ipad), camtasia, coaches eye app, adobe captivate • I will demonstrate Adobe Premier Elements • 3 tips!!!! • Production Quality ”The key is to not get too bent out of shape about production quality” • Length: Maximum 5 min! 2-3 min is goal (mp4 format perferred) • Kids don’t do homework! Make it available for their handheld devices somewhere to view anytime anywhere!

  15. Consideration! • Record students! • Have students do the recording! • Use simple editing techniques! • FOIP Don’t create a big workload for yourself!

Why record students? • Students love technology & know it! • It engages them, and motivates them to see themselves • Provides leadership opportunities! • Demonstrates multiple learning styles (differentiated instruction) • Does not use your planning time! • Creates legacy of student resources and examples!
