  3. Introduction • This presentation will go through the technical specifications for the chiller system. • These documents have been sent to all the qualified bidders after the market survey 3684. • Questions will be answered at the end of the presentation. Thermosiphon project

Scope of the tender Chiller and brine : design, selection & purchase of components, refrigerants for chiller, construction, skids, installation, connection and commissioning Fluid for the brine BRINE CHILLER UNIT(S) Electrical design, functional analysis, electrical/control components, cabling and electrical/control cabinets Documentation and labeling Spares (1 year & 10000 h) Primarywater Thermosiphon condenser and piping Terminal blocks, PLC and software (UNICOS)

Assembly • All the components shall be pre-assembled in metallic frames (skids) • Maximum dimensions : 14m x 2.5 m x 3 m • 15 tons • Control and electrical cabinets will also be pre-assembled • Space will be leaved for the PLC and the terminal blocks provided by CERN. • The insulation shall be protected with an stainless steel cover.   17. Factory tests The procedures and reports of all the tests shall be supplied Thermosiphon project

  18. Delivery, installation and commissioning at CERN Delivery and installation Commissioning Done in collaboration between CERN and the supplier. CERN will provide the pre-tested program (according to the functional analysis). CERN will provide a dummy load for the tests phase. • Transport and handling of the system to CERN Point 1 (Switzerland) • The installation shall be performed by the contractor. • The contractor staff shall have the adequate training.   19. Maintenance • Maintenance • Preventive maintenance plan and spare parts list provided by the contractor. • The Preventive Maintenance Plan shall be done during nominal operation at full power The chiller units shall be electrically independent including instrumentation Thermosiphon project

Quality assurance • Documentation general • Documentation in English or French. • In a computer readable and editable form • Labeling • The components shall be identified with labels. • Technical documentation • Templates for: Technical dossier (STA), Functional analysis, spare parts and installed parts list. • Preventive Maintenance Plan shall also be provided Thermosiphon project
