  1. Day 84 Opening Task • Form a group of 5 people and report as a group to Mr. Biniukow. Do not come and see me until you do form a group • Tell Mr. Biniukow the name of your fictional country • Pick up 5 Post-It-Notes • Each member takes 1 Post-It • Write the name of your country on the Post-It • Go to any object in the classroom and claim it by sticking your Post-It on it. Think hard about what objects are worth claiming. • Point totals will be assessed based on the order that you complete this task and how well you complete it • 1st = 5/5, 2nd = 4/5, 3rd = 3/5, 4th = 2/5 • Opening Question Title = Post It Notes

Tap-In Tap-Out Debate • 2 opposing sides of the Parliament of Great Britain have to convince the Prime Minister(me) their side to this question… • “New Imperialism will bean overall beneficial and utilitarian policy for the country of GB and its empire.” • 1850 Parliament vs 2014 Parliament • Rules to this debate • 5 minutes for your side to brainstorm your argument • Inner debate circle will have 3 members from each side debating (you can use your blue sheet and sources) • After 5 minutes, I will call for another round of debating where new members from each side tap in the place of their debate comrades. • Respect your fellow congressmen in your mini-debate!! • One speaker at a time (write down your counter-points!!!) • So side chatter for the outside debaters
