Enhancements to Early Warning System for Attendance, Behavior, and Course Performance

We are introducing a new tab for the Early Warning System in the WOW WOW menu. Key features include monitoring Attendance, Behavior, and Course Performance indicators. Attendance will be evaluated by days absent (both excused and non-excused), with options to categorize absences. Behavior will focus on instances of suspensions, allowing users to track severity and frequency. Course Performance will highlight failures in core subjects. Color coding will visually represent risk levels: Red for high risk, Orange for moderate, and Yellow for low.

  4. Defaults for Early Warning System A – Attendance B – Behavior C – Course Performance • Attendance – 10% days absent. This includes excused and non-excused absences. • The option will be given to break the absences down by non-excused and excused • The option will be given to change the percentage to number of days absent • Behavior – 2 or more suspensions that are level 2 or above • The option will be given to designate the level of the behavior and number of occurrences • Course Performance – Failure of Math and English in a marking period • The option will be given to also look at Science and Social Studies
