  13. Communication (2) • Communication CHOGM: IOMRC Presentation produced and delivered to CHOGM visitor (Commonwelath Common Fisheries Policy) • Presentation to be posted and made available through the web 13

OI Benefits Survey • A survey completed (> 50% response from staff). • Report to be distributed. • Basis for report at forthcoming meeting of OI Board and to be shared within OI and Heads of Schools. • Food for thought, particularly were caveats were raised on how we can improve service to members. 14

  15. Membership confirmation • Letter and membership form submitted (confirm interest and opportunity to invite new members). • Membership must be fluid with entry and exit doors. • FAQs document 15

Buildings • Watermans: plans consolidated and moved to Document stage (tender), issues with water effluent/pipes pending. • IOMRC: On going discussions - advanced - to expand and improve previous plans. Shaun Collin leads Users group with participation from various members and assistance from Christine Shervington. 16

  17. Ocean Solution Dialogues • Workshops with industry and government on: • Spatial planning. • Marine Food. • Water (w. Water Corporation) – Dec 2011 • Marine Energy • Carbon offsets. • The role of science in managing marine disaster – March 2011 • goal: to better aligned our Ocean Solutions research and training w. government and industry needs. To find partners to deliber ocean solutions to society. 17
