  1. Chapter 20 • Great Expectations - Diggy Simmons • “They want me to fall, They wanna see if I make it. With my back against the wall, put my head to the sky. No, I won't let 'embreak me I got great expectations.” • Pip is sent to London by an anonymous person to learn how to be a gentleman. He then has great expectations from everyone around him. Diggy Simmons sings about similar feelings he has when trying to become respected in the hip hop music industry.

  2. Chapter 21 • We’re Going to be Friends- Jack Johnson • Mr. Jaggers sends Pip to stay with Herbert and the two soon become reacquainted. After fighting at a young age they surprisingly become best friends.

  3. Chapter 22 • I Need A Dollar- Aloe Blacc • “Well I don't know if I'm walking on solid ground cause everything around me is falling down and all I want - is for someone - to help me” • Pip and Herbert have dinner together and Herbert soon notices his bad manners. Pip then realizes that he will not be able to become a gentleman alone and asks Herbert for help.

  4. Chapter 23 • House is a Circus- Arctic Monkeys • “Those ones next to us are such lovely lads. Scaling the corridors for maidens in the maze, and the anomaly is slipping into familiar ways” • Pip goes with Herbert to take lessons on how to become a gentleman and the house soon becomes very chaotic with all of the activities.

  5. Chapter 24 • Too Rude- Rebelution • “First thing I notice when you speak you sound as if the world hates you that's why you seek to punish everybody, every face, and everything. Yet nobody's mad at you learn some gratitude.” • When Pip goes to see Mr. Jaggers about his debt he sees him in the middle of court and finally his truly harsh side.

  6. Chapter 25 • Walking On a Dream- Empire of the Sun • “On and on and on we are calling out and out again. Never looking down I'm just in awe of what's in front of me” • The continuous dinners with his fellow students at Jagger and Wemmick’s houses makes Pip feel like he I living a dream.

  7. Chapter 26 • Oppression- Ben Harper • “Oppressionyou pray on us when we sleepoppressionyou chase after the tired the poor the weakoppressionyou know you mean only harmoppressionyou reach out with your long arm” • Mr. Jaggers invites Pip and the other students over to his house for dinner and they soon realize that he oppresses even when at home.
