  10. The Scientific Method • a body of techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge or correcting and integrating previous knowledge

  12. Schematically, the scientific method can be shown as follows: Observations(world of experience) Scientific Law (a summary of what have been observed) Hypothesis (a guess explaining observations) Theory (tested hypothesis, not permanent, can be modified)
