  1. Warm up 5/03/13 • Question: How can you change your power? • Answer: • P = W/t • Change work (force or distance) or change time (faster or slower) • Goal: I will demonstrate my knowledge of ch 8.

Element of the day • 73 – Tantalum – Ta • Tantalum is one of two elements that have had boycotts associated with them (the other is diamond, which was boycotted because of “conflict diamonds”) • Tantalum is mined in areas where endangered gorillas live, and it actually used in more things that you realize – from cell phones to computers to medical equipment. Pretty much every digital electronic device uses tantalum capacitors, which are smaller, higher capacity and respond better to high frequency than others.
