  2. Problem What brand of fingernail polish stays on the longest?

  3. Hypothesis • I predict that the Avon brand of fingernail polish will stay on the longest.

  4. Materials • 5 people • Fingernail polish • Fingernail polish remover • Paper • Pencils • Camera • Computer • Q-tips

Procedure • First I used fingernail polish remover on the people that already had on fingernail polish. • Second I applied 1 coat of fingernail polish and let it stay on for 1 week without them doing anything except for their normal activities. • Next I took pictures of each girls hands after they got painted the 1st and after they got painted the 2nd time. • After 1 week I repeated this process once again. Until they had on the polish for 2 weeks.

  6. Results • Love my Nails lasted the longest. • The Avon brand of fingernail polish didn’t last as long as what I expected. I thought that the Love my Nails brand wouldn’t stay on for very long I never would have expected that it would have lasted the longest.

  7. Conclusion • After painting the nails twice I was able to come to the Conclusion that Love my Nails is the longest lasting brand of fingernail polish. • I started out with 5 girls and 5 different brands of fingernail polish, but I had to change that and use only 4 girls and 4 different brands of fingernail polish. • I learned that it is important to make sure that everyone can keep on the fingernail polish for 2 weeks. I was glad that I took pictures of everyone's hands individually instead of in a group.
