Notional Hours 2 Topic Specification: TF 307.03 Applying physics concepts to calculate thermal transfer Learning Activities Assignment Description Topic assessment criteria Use Multi media WHAT • The assessor will observe and confirm that learners: • Are able to demonstrate an understanding of physics and chemistry concepts and plastics material technology to control heat • Are able to correctly apply scientific notation to determine behaviour and states at different melting points • Are able to understanding of the effects of over heating and excessive shear on the quality of the products Learners study material related to various aspects of heat and tabulate main principles. Two case studies where overheating result in mechanical shear is discussed in the group.
