  2. Water for Elizabeth Give thanks for the blessings of family and community life and the daily blessing of a clean and reliable supply of water.

  3. Water for Elizabeth Prayfor the extension of fair trade so that more communities can meet basic needs like a safe water supply.

  4. Help with the schoolwork Give thanks for the harvest of knowledge that is available to us; for art and for science, for the internet, for teachers and all who work in education.

  5. Help with the schoolwork Pray for the work of Traidcraft Exchange, helping producers gain the knowledge and skills they need to trade more effectively.

  6. A “winter” harvest Give thanks for the seasons, for sun and for rain, the seedtime and the harvest, a time to work and a time to rest.

  7. A “winter” harvest Pray for those for whom the harvest has not come: for families gazing at shrivelled crops or flooded fields, and for those denied a fair price for their produce by unjust trade rules or practices.

  8. A cause for celebration Give thanks for times of sharing and celebration, for the freedom and opportunity to come together as God’s people, and for the work of Christian organisations like Traidcraft.

  9. A cause for celebration Pray for those for whom worship is made difficult by circumstance or oppression. Pray that the Christian community in the UK will lend even greater support to fair trade and the fight for trade justice.
