AIM Metadata Requirements / Business RulesIntegrated Process Team IPT Charter Purpose • auto-generate metadata by capturing the most meaningful data from AIM (or adding fields to AIM) • define metadata that applies across a course level [course, module, lesson, section] • manually enter metadata • determine the best way of support user friendly completion of metadata requirements

AIM Metadata Requirements / Business RulesIntegrated Process Team Work/progress since NOV ’08 FRB • Reached out to a subset of IPT membership to discuss annotation conventions and development of open source application • Broadened partnership with Veteran’s Administration / U of VA / U of CT, ADL co LAB • VA is currently testing the AIM LOM toolset for possible adoption • Comparison of LOM specifications • Co-presentation with VA at MedBiquitous

  4. AIM Metadata Requirements / Business RulesIntegrated Process Team Support needed from AIM management team FRB / FRB members • Continue investigating potential for indexing tool development • Survey FRB members for unique category elements/sub elements to be incorporated in AIM
