  2. About the Bowhead Whales • The Bowhead Whale is in the Balaenidae family • Its habitat is in the arctic and sub-arctic north Atlantic and Pacific oceans • They were thought to live between 60 and 70 years

  3. More about the Bowhead Whales • These particular species started in Spitsbergen in c.1611 • There are only 8000 of these whales in current existence • It can weigh between 75 to 100 tonnes. The Bowhead Whale can grow up to 20m in length
