  2. Media Bias and Voting As of today, there are only two hundred and thirty eight days left for individuals to cast one vote.

  3. Media Bias and Voting Who will you vote for? And how do you know this particular individual will be the best choice?

  4. Thinking it through…. • So who do Americans turn to for the latest news and facts about these candidates? Do they turn to their friends, churches, newspapers, social media, or the news?

  5. Media Bias and Voting • Where ever Americans decide to gain more insight on these candidates, they hope and trust that the facts they are receiving are true and free of false statements and lies that can have a big influence on an individual’s vote.

  6. Really, how much impact does Media Bias Has on a vote? • The media's biased coverage and reporting of presidential elections has a potentially large influence on the outcome of elections due to inaccurate polling, selective reporting and negative labeling of candidates campaigning for public office (Radford).

  7. Media Bias Outlets • News channels such as CNN, MSNBC and Fox all play a major role on how individuals will vote on Election Day. And with technology growing, social media such as, Facebook, Twitter and blogs will have impacts as well.

  8. Media Bias and Voting Facts… • The influence of these media outlets are so overpowering that more than seventy percent of Americans agreed that media bias affects how they vote (bureau of economics). • Some media outlets, including big name news stations give an image of a one sided opinionated view on certain candidates, which in most cases shine a negative light on the individual. • According to abc news media bias article, TV news for many years are often caught putting their own perception in presidential election reports. When reporters own perceptions get entangled with reporting, a type of bias has already taken place.

  9. Media Bias and Voting… • When a broadcast company, or a newspaper or a talk show host is biased against a certain candidate, they will use any and all criticisms they can create, truthful and some not, to persuade their listeners, readers or viewers to vote one way and not another (HG Legal).
