Engaging Math Lessons: Cooking and Grouping in 2nd Grade

Join Mrs. Lawanda Burgess in her 2nd-grade class as students explore math concepts through cooking! In this engaging series of lessons, students will learn how to group objects by size, vote to choose their preferred cup (tall or short), and discover how both hold the same amount of liquid. They will also adapt a smoothie recipe for 20 students based on serving sizes, enhancing their understanding of measurements and nutrition. Through fun activities, children connect numbers to ingredients while enjoying the process of learning math.
