Tea Party Vocabulary Verbs: to steep= to infuse=to brew= hacer una infusión to stir= remover (gently) to lick: chupar, lamer Nouns: tablecloth, teapot, kettle, napkin, cup with a saucer, handle, edge, lid, loose tea, tea strainer, tea bags, lumps of sugar or sugar cubes, tiered serving trays, platters, clotted cream,scones, pastries, finger sandwiches, milk, honey, sugar, lemon, weak tea, strong tea, lemon slice…

  3. Some Tips When Having Tea -Boil the water in a kettle. -Before serving the cup, ask your guest “with milk, sugar or lemon? -Milk goes in after the tea and sugar. -In the past: people ate sandwiches first scones next sweets last -At present: people eat scones first sandwiches next sweets last -Always use milk, cream is with coffee.
