  • 25 – Manganese – Mn
  • Manganese oxide is one of the earliest known pigments – found in cave drawings
  • In the 1970s, the government created an elaborate cover up, sending treasure hunters looking for manganese nodules on the ocean floor. In actuality they were searching for a sunken Russian submarine during the cold war.
  • Manganese steel can make very sharp edges, for things like razor blades.
