  2. The Land • Location: Iran is located in the Middle East, bordering the Gulf of Oman, the Persian Gulf, and the Caspian Sea. It is between Iraq and Pakistan. • Landforms: The Zagros mountain range and the Alborz mountain range are found in Iran. Also common to Iran are various deserts.
