  5. Benefits Cap When:15th July onwards. £26,000 cap pa for couple/single parent (£500pw) and £18,200 for a single person (£350pw), excl pensioners/some other exclusions. Affects: About 119 families in Portsmouth and 12 in Leigh Park. 42 Local Authority; 14 RSL; 75 in private accommodation. Tends to be large families. Average deduction: £71 a week. As of 27th August, 131 households had been capped. Impacts:
