5. Click to continue Passage 1 The Water Cycle “The process by which molecules of liquid water absorb energy and change to a gas is called evaporation. In the water cycle, liquid water evaporates from oceans, lakes, and other surfaces and forms water vapor, a gas, in the atmosphere.

As more water vapor condenses, the drops of water in the cloud grow larger. In 1848 she and Lucretia Mott organized the nation’s first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York. Stanton lived in Seneca Falls at the time. She used the Declaration of Independence as a model to write a Declaration of Sentiments, stating that “all men and women are created equal.”
