  2. Step by Step Writing -How should we begin our descriptive poem? Who can think of a line? Let’s write about rainbows. -Can we add color words in our description? Can we add shape words? -How can we finish the next line so it rhymes with the first line? -What can we add that will make the reader really feel how we feel about the rainbow? -How can we end the poem so that it rhymes? -Let’s read our descriptive poem together.

  4. An Example Rainbows Rainbow colors blue, green, red. It’s like an arch, Over my head. Nice, bright colors make me smile. Ribbons of colors as long as a mile.
