How Do I Begin? • Attend the Internship Info Fair A+! • See your department internship coordinator • Update your resume & Gather LORs http://ccc.byu.edu/ucs/resources • Budget timeeach week during Fall semester to find a summer internship • Talk to returned interns • Inform ALL of your networks • Apply, Apply, Apply! (January/February)

  7. What about money? • Many internships are unpaid, so PREPARE financially now. However, science research internships usually ARE paid! • Apply for a Life Sciences Internship Grant (help with travel costs) 1. Job shadowing or job experiences will not be funded. The purpose of the grant is to encourage research and promote research-based internships. 2. Unless you are registered for one or more credits, you are not eligible for funding.
