  17. From The Director’s Desk • Proposed Part B SPP/APR Comment • closed 12/16/2011  • 35 comments received by OSEP • SEAs, LEAs, national organizations, parent organizations and individuals.  • Currently being reviewed • Published after submission to OMB • Additional comment period - 30 days. 

  18. From The Director’s Desk • The “Continuing Appropriations Act, reduced IDEA funds by 1.503% • Michigan received a reduction of approximately $4.5 million • The “Consolidated Appropriations Act, decreased the across-the-board reduction from 1.503% to 0.189%. 

  19. From The Director’s Desk • Michigan’s reduction will be approximately $600,000. • The Office of Special Education will be utilizing  a portion of their set-aside funds to replace this reduction, resulting in no change to the allocations to ISDs.
