  6. Work-Based Learning….huh? • Prepare students for the workplace • Prepare employers to work with high school students • Make the connection between academic learning and the workplace • Teacher externships

  8. The NAF approach develops academic skills at the same time as it prepares students for careers

  9. How can our advisory board help me? Resources include (but are not limited to): • Classroom participation (including presentations, coaching, judging competitions, etc.) • Mentoring, job shadowing • Funding (scholarships, field trips, etc.) • Professional development for educators • Teacher externships • Assistance with student and faculty recruitment • Advocacy
