Advocating for Animal Welfare: Experiences from Johnston County Animal Rescue

This research project explores the inhumane treatment of animals in local shelters, highlighting issues like low funding, overcrowding, and inadequate medical care. Through volunteering at Pet Smart for adoption shows with the Johnston County Animal Rescue, I learned about the challenges shelters face and ways to combat these issues. My experience fostered skills in time management, responsibility, and organization, helping me advocate for animal rights while connecting with the community.   2. My Topic • I chose to research the inhumane treatment of animals in shelters due to euthanasia for my research topic.
