Wang as the first author and Dr. Wang as the second author) appears in the July, 2006 issue of Journal Of Electroceramics (Vol.16, p. 587-91). 07-06-2006:Congratulations!Miss YUN Pan passed the confirmation exam. 07-20-2006:Bye!Dr. MIAO Jun left the group today for a post-doctoral position in Germany. 08-24-2006:Welcome!Mr. SUN Tieyu from Tsinghua University joined the group today. Mr. Sun is a Ph.D. student at THU. He will stay here for three months. His work at PolyU will be focused on computational materials science. 09-01-2006:Welcome!Mr. SCHNEIDER Arnold joined our group today. Mr. Schneider is a student at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. He takes part in the exchange students program arranged by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) via The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE). He will stay at PolyU till the end of October. 09-01-2006:A papertitled "Tuning the electrical properties of La0.75Ca0.25MnO3 thin films by ferroelectric polarization, ferroelectric-field effect, and converse piezoelectric effect " (Dr. R.K. Zheng as the first author and Dr. Wang as the second author) appears in the September, 2006 issue of Physical Review B (Vol.74, p. 094427). 09-08-2006:AMF-5!Miss ZHOU Xiaoyuanattended the 5th Asian Meeting on Ferroelectrics in Noda, Japan (3-7 September). 09-30-2006:Bye!Mr. DREILING Jens left our group today. During his six-month stay in our group, Jens worked on a project that focuses on the preparation and characterization of functional oxide thin films, including lead-free piezoelectric thin films and rare-earth scandate materials.
