  1. This project has endeavoured to develop and define a shared vision as to how the Faculty’s administrative service should be structured and operated. The partnersinterviewed administrative staff and researched students’ views and expectations. The findings of this research have been used to design the Administrative Service Charter which will be displayed outside each of the ELSS administration offices and published on iCIty. The charter will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that the commitments continue to reflect the needs and expectations of staff and students. “Working alongside staff and student members on an interesting project has really made me feel like a part of the university. It’s also been a great way to prove my capabilities and gain skills which future employees can appreciate on my CV. I really enjoyed my chance to be part of a SAP project.” Hunain Malana Future Recommendations: - Expand the charter to embrace other student facing services such as the finance office - Develop an iCity site to deal with frequently asked questions - Introduce administration staff to students during the induction process • Student and Staff • Partners’ • Experiences “It’s been eye opening to see how hard the staff work behind the scenes. I think our charter will give clear expectations to both staff and students when it is implemented.” Hollie Woodcock “I am delighted that our students have been so instrumental in developing the Administrative Services Charter. Their work with our students and staff in producing the Charter has put the needs of the student at the heart of the Faculty’s front-line administrative services. The Academic Partners have worked collegiately and professionally with us on this project and they have provided helpful updates to the Faculty’s senior managers at each stage of their work. I particularly liked the fact that students took an active part in shaping the services that they need and require and I am very proud of the way that the Faculty’s support staff have embraced their work. I hope that our Partners enjoyed their time on this project – they have left a legacy behind them that will benefit future students of the Faculty. Well done!” Ian Hamley (Director of Faculty Administration) “It’s been fantastic to work on a project which has allowed students access to the wider aspects of our administrative services, including senior administration meetings. I have been particularly impressed by the detail of feedback offered by administrative staff, which has been important in the creation of the charter.” Sophie Grace Rowe STUDENT PARTNERS_Hunain Malana, Hollie Woodcock, Harriet Cutler STAFF PARTNERS_Ian Hamley, Sophie Grace Rowe
